5 Events That Need To Happen In Sports
So, I sat down for a little while and thought of five changes I would make if given the chance. These changes are not far out things that will never happen. For example, though I think it would be great if the NBA chose to raise the hoop by two feet, I know this will never happen. So, I will try to keep my five changes at least in the realm of possibility. Without further ado, here they are: 1. Tiger Woods Plays the Whole Season ? Every Tourney. Wouldn?t it be great to see Tiger Woods play every tournament for one entire year? I know he?s Tiger Woods and he has the right to play when he wants to play. I also know winning so much takes a toll on him and he needs lots of breaks. (With a wife like his who wouldn?t take a lot of time off?) But if Tiger would just suck it up for ten months or so he could seriously put the debate about whether he?s the greatest to bed. If he played every week he?d win almost everything and make half the players on tour quit, or he would begin to wear down and burn out and become human. Either way, I think it would make for great television. 2. Anna Kournikova Returns to Tennis Some people may ask why I would want an overrated player such as Anna K to return to tennis. Well, first of all, don?t get me going about whether or not she?s overrated. She isn?t. Anyone who won a Grand Slam is NOT overrated. Yes, I know, she never won a single?s title but she won a Grand Slam tourney in doubles. It counts!
A History Of Sports CarsSince the development of motorised vehicles a small select group of individuals have always had the undying ..... Now, why would I want her to return? Don?t over think it. My quality of life rises substantially when she?s on television. And by the way, whether or not she wins makes no difference. 3. Terrell Owens Gets Along with a Coach and Is Happy for an Entire Season When I looked over my list, I couldn?t decide which one was least likely to happen. Probably none of them will happen but the least likely to occur are between this one and #4. However, that was before Wade Phillips was hired as the Cowboys coach. Wade went out of his way to welcome TO into ?his family?. That?s something Bill Parcells never did. TO is a quack, no doubt about it. He?s overrated too. But I think it would be great to see what happens if TO stays happy for an entire season. And I think good ole boy Wade Phillips and his cowboy boots may just get along great with TO. 4. Fighting in the NHL to Have a Winner Declared See the NHL is going about this all wrong. They?re trying to get rid of the best thing they have going. Quick: What makes the NHL unique from every other sport? Forget about the crap about the fastest game and it being played on ice. Don?t they curl on ice? Anyway, it?s fighting. (Yes, I know boxing is fighting but don?t ruin my train of thought here.) The NHL is quite permissive when it comes to fighting or at least they once were permissive. They need to build on this. So, they should reward the player who wins each of the fights. They can still slap 5 minute penalties on each fighter but they should put an additional penalty on the player who loses the fight ? two minutes for unsportsmanlike losing or something. Then that team will be shorthanded. Think about it.
Shoes For The Active SportsmanThe Columbia Men's Baracus Low Trail Shoe possess great durability and ruggedness for long-term wear. Its suede leather ..... A team is down a goal with three minutes left. They?re generating absolutely no offense. So what do they do? They send out their best fighter to pick a fight. He picks a fight, wins and voila they have instant offense on the power play. Ohhh, I like it. Someone get Bettman on the phone! 5. The Stupid NFL Push-out Rule Is Abolished I saved this one for last because it really needs to go. Seriously. A receiver jumps up in the back of the end zone and attempts to come down with two feet in bounds. The defender should hit him, right? Well, no. He should leave him alone. Because if he hits him it doesn?t matter if the receiver gets two feet in or not. The touchdown will count because he was ?pushed-out?. What? Since when does a good play by the defense result in a touchdown for the offense?
How To Buy A Sports CarBe Well-Researched Don't enter the buying process without a solid understand of exactly what you are after and how much you should expect to pay ..... This is the only time. What?s next? A guy gets tackled at the two yard line but is awarded the touchdown because he would?ve scored if the defender didn?t tackle him? Come on. This rule needs to be changed. In fact, all of the above changes need to be made. Chai Rose is a freelance writer in New York.
